Island Greens

About us

Built by golfers who'd rather practice on the water

Island Greens started with a simple problem: the short game is the fastest part of golf to improve, and the hardest to practice without a real green nearby. We build custom floating putting and chipping greens that turn a dock, pond, or pool into a practice green — cut, seamed, and finished to order for the water you actually have.

Every mat we ship is built the same way a real green is built: a marine-grade closed-cell foam core for permanent full-submersion buoyancy, and a UV-stabilized turf face with a nap height and density dialed in for a true roll — not a novelty mat that plays fast, slow, or bumpy.

What we build every mat around

Built for open water

Marine-grade foam core and UV-stabilized turf stand up to sun, chlorine, and years of full-submersion use.

True-to-green roll

A dialed-in nap height and density give you the same read and speed you'd expect from a practice green on land.

Anchored, not adrift

Our anchoring kits keep your green exactly where you left it, through wind, wake, and cannonballs.

Made to your water

Every mat is cut to size and shape for your dock, pond, or pool — from a simple rectangle to a custom cutout.
